Wind Watching Ribbons

Seeing the invisible. Feeling the breeze.

Wind cannot be seen — but it can be felt.

You’ll Need

  • Ribbons, yarn, or strips of fabric

What To Do

  1. Tie ribbons to a balcony railing, tree branch, or fence.

  2. Sit together and observe.

  3. Is the wind fast or slow?
Do the ribbons dance wildly or sway gently?
    Does it change?

  4. Invite your child to move like the ribbons — swirling, floating, or fluttering.

Why It Matters

Children begin to notice invisible forces in nature while tuning into their own bodies and breath. It strengthens awareness, imagination, and sensory connection.
